For 200 years, economic growth has been fueled by an abundance of cheap fossil fuels. Today, over 80% of all of our energy comes from coal, oil, natural gas and their derivatives – finite, carbon based fuels.

We stand now on the edge of a new revolution – where the technology and wealth that fossil fuels enabled will spawn the evolution of new systems that will drastically alter the energy landscape and allow continued economic growth and wealth creation while harvesting renewable solar and wind energy that we receive each day.

The current system in the U.S. that generates, transmits and distributes energy is poised for transformation. This evolution will rival any technological or industrial advancement in our nation’s history. While there are uncertainties associated with the future of the American energy landscape, Eolian is dedicated to moving swiftly and intelligently towards a post-carbon future. That future will exist based on how we act today.

We seek projects that fit the definition of distributed power. That is, where wind turbines or solar facilities are located in close proximity to the people that will benefit from the power they generate, and the jobs and tax dollars they create. Smaller projects means less impact and greater participation, less waste and more collaboration.

The emerging clean-energy economy will bring lasting benefit to communities across the US and the world by employing the world’s most equitably distributed resources – sunlight and wind.
